What is to Pray without Ceasing & why should we?

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 the word says that, we must pray without ceasing.

To me that means our lives are supposed to be centered and rooted around prayer. Our lives are supposed to be constantly turned towards GOD the Father.πŸ™

Prayer should be like breathing in our lives..

Daily prayer can bless you , your loved ones and those you pray for. More than that, praying continually is the key to rejoicing always.πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

When we lean on GOD all the time and call unto HIM always, HE is capable of filling us up, strengthening us, comforts, embraces and heals us even.

How graceful is GOD, how blessed are we that we are able to continually have dialogues with our Creator, be listened to and actually be heard.

Are we even aware that our engagement with GOD through prayer allows us to be involved in HIS work that will go on forever? πŸ˜ƒ This is the most exciting and humbling part!

When we pray, we participate in GOD’s will being accomplished. As the Bible states in Matthew 6:9-10 “pray ye our Father which art in heaven , hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

When we pray consistently and sincerely we’re going to hear more from GOD and be better able to align our actions with what we hear.

Prayer is very much important and we cannot afford to live without it.

I’ll furtherly share a few more reasons why we shouldn’t cease from praying in a orderly way:

  • As the devil has not ceased from his work on earth, we must also not cease to pray. As the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8 that he goes around roaring like a lion looking for whom he may devour. The devil’s greatest mission is to steal, kill and destroy, we cannot cease from praying if he’s still busy.
  • For peace to reign in our cities, states, towns and nations. We shouldn’t wait until there’s war, a disaster, threat to peace, violence, and illnesses before we can start praying. We must pray without ceasing for the peace in our own countries. We must pray without ceasing for those in leadership so that we may live in peace as 1 Timothy 2:1-2 states.
  • For deliverance of others from trouble. Ephesians 5:16 says that the days are evil. Most of the time when people are in trouble they can’t pray but focus on finding a solution. That may mean that they depend on the prayers of others. We should never fail such people because of our prayerlessness!
  • For the salvation of nations before the return of CHRIST. 2 Peter 3:9 says that, the LORD is not slow to HIS promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. How gracious is GOD!

Let us stay prayed up!

I hope that you’re motivated to pray more after reading this message. GOD bless. πŸ™‚β€οΈπŸ™
